Chase Isle

Chase Isle

Chase’s introduction to the fitness world started when he was a young athlete growing up in small town Montana. With limited access to quality coaching and proper fitness techniques, he strived to teach himself and gather as much research and understanding of both athletic performance and overall fitness as he possible could. He started applying the knowledge he had acquired and began exercising with intent and focus towards becoming the fastest, strongest and most functional version of himself. Through this process, he developed a passion for perfecting his understanding of body mechanics, strength training, and sport performance enhancement.

Chase’s passion and dedication to maximizing his personal health and understanding the complexity of the human body lead him to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Montana State University, while also being a collegiate athlete. In addition to his degree in Kinesiology, Chase went on to earn a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification in personal training and a NASM Performance Enhancement Certification. He has used his education, certifications, and personal training knowledge to help guide and motivate hundreds of clients to accomplish their fitness goals.

A long-lasting passion and experience in the fitness industry has helped him realize the importance of the human connection from both a physical and mental aspect. Realizing this, he decided that to reach and connect to as many people as possible he needed a taller platform to stand on. After 15 years of personal training in the corporate sector, and with the expertise and knowledge of partner Eddie Davila, the Urban Fitness brand was created! Through Urban Fitness, Chase hopes to offer a facility that allows members and guests an outlet to be creative and functional in utilizing fitness as a way of life.

Fun Facts:

  • When Chase is not training clients, himself or working around the gym you will find him with his wife Sheryl and their 3 dogs exploring all that Montana has to offer.
  • He is an avid MSU bobcat and Minnesota Vikings fan
  • Enjoys golfing and watching anything related to the supernatural.

Eddie Davila

Eddie Davila

Helping people and continuing to learn and grow are things that Eddie is extremely passionate about. He genuinely enjoys helping people in any way he can. It just so happens that he has a deep-rooted interest in fitness and how it can combat disease and have positive impacts on the mind and body (and biceps, of course). He is fascinated at how a stimulus (e.g., exercise), coupled with good eating habits and quality rest, can alter the body’s physiology in such a way that living, breathing, and moving become easier, enjoyable, and so rewarding! Life is good. Fitness is just one way to improve the quality of it and in so many ways! Eddie is VERY thrilled and humbled to be able to share his passions with the UF Team and the UF community!

Eddie earned his bachelors in exercise science and his masters degree in exercise physiology and nutrition from Montana State University (MSU). He’s been working in the fitness industry for the past 15 years. He also works as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital where he works directly with cardiac and respiratory patients undergoing evidence-based rehabilitative exercise training. Further, Eddie also serves as a Kinesiology adjunct instructor at MSU. Lastly, he volunteers on various committees for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and other organizations to help review, edit, and create exercise science educational materials for professionals and students within the health and fitness industries.

Andy Harmon

Andy Harmon

Andy grew up in Billings, MT where he spent most of his young life playing baseball, which drew his attention to the impact that specialized exercise and nutrition could have on performance.  This passion for how food can impact performance, body composition and quality of life lead him to MSU Bozeman where he is currently completing his degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.  At MSU he found his passion for Anatomy and Physiology and how, when combined with proper nutrition, we can manipulate the body’s performance both during and after exercise.  He enjoys combining the two in his personal life to understand body mechanics, the muscle reaction to exercise at the cellular level, and different techniques that can help lift heavier deadlifts (priorities).  In 2021 Andy chose to get his ACE Personal Trainer Certification with the purpose to help others reach their fitness and lifestyle goals as well as learn from his clients about their sports and favorite activities.

Even though Andy’s main passion is fitness and nutrition, there are many other things he loves as well.  When not at the gym you can find him hiking, paddle-boarding, or running around with his girlfriend Malori and their tiny yorkie Paisley.  He also loves using his Traeger as often as he can and there is a good chance that any meal prep Andy has done was smoked on that grill.

Certifications:

ACE Certification in Personal Training

Fun Facts:

  • He loves cookies (They have to be soft and warm)
  • His love language is Superheroes
  • You can stop in and visit him at the Bozeman lululemon!
  • Usually has an Uncrustable nearby

Julie Ovenell

Julie Ovenell

Julie was born in Bozeman and raised in the beautiful small town of Churchill, MT. She grew up
being active and participating in many highschool sports including volleyball, basketball, track
and cross country. Following two older brothers created a competitive and “can do” attitude in
her. She started her first year of college just outside of Los Angeles, CA, but quickly realized it
would not be a place she would thrive. Instead, she decided on taking a Gap Year, doing a
mission trip for 9 months in Guatemala, Zambia, and Thailand where her appreciation for
differing cultures and ways of life grew. Julie then finished her Elementary Education degree at
the University of Montana, but held off beginning her teaching career to live in New Zealand to
fulfill her adventurous spirit. After returning home, she began her teaching career at Petra
Academy. She discovered health and life coaching were really what she loved. It mixed her love
for nutrition, fitness, education, and people all in one!

Julie is very passionate about weight training and showing others the physical and mental
benefits along with the aesthetic benefits we all would like to achieve! She sees weight training
as a piece to fitness and overall health. Her greater passion is Health Coaching which is
coaching that helps people change their lifestyle in a positive way so they feel more confident,
overcome fears, love who they are, have energy for the things they love, create healthier
relationships, pursue their passions, etc. Health coaching is meant to create new habits and
behaviors that will last a lifetime. A big key to success in habit change is becoming more aware
of one’s body and what it is trying to communicate.
Julie’s goal is to walk alongside people, help them get curious and remove judgment, and be
their coach and their accountability partner.

Certifications:

● Health and Life Coach Certified (Health Coach Institute)
● ISSA Certification in Personal Training
Fun facts:
● In Julie’s spare time, she loves skiing, boating, hiking, playing ping-pong, floating,
soaking in the sun, or anything a friend might suggest.
● She competed in the Miss Montana pageant and then a year later in a bodybuilding
competition.
● Julie can bungee jump off a bridge, but keeping a plant alive is nearly impossible!
● Her gas station “guilty pleasure” is a bag of Trolli Eggs.
● She also has been kissed by a chimpanzee! Best kiss of her life
